The Sims 3 Seasons Lessons

Online Dating

Your Sim can now meet up with other Sims in the virtual world. Begin by creating an online profile on the computer. Your profile can be edited to your own liking.

Once you create a profile you can browse other Sims profile from your town. If you find one that you like, go ahead and send that Sim a message.

Be sure to check your messages later as those Sims may want to get to know you too. You can then build on this new friendship by chatting, calling them on the phone, or even try to get them to come visit you.

Though you should be careful if you lie on your profile as they may not like what they see when they finally meet you.

Seasons Options

Take direct control over the seasons and weather you want to experience in-game with the new Seasons Options tab you can select in the Options menu.

Not only can you control the length of each individual season, you can even disable seasons completely! For example, you can have your Sims play in just the Summer and Winter if you desire.

If you alter the Seasons options from the Main Menu, they’ll affect any new game of The Sims 3 that you begin. Alternatively, you can adjust the seasons options during gameplay and the settings will only apply to the save file you’re currently playing, allowing for different combinations across different game saves.

Temperature

Over the course of each day, the temperature of the world will change. While outside, Sims will also change in temperature depending on the heat of the world.

To prevent your Sims from becoming too cold, be sure to wear Outerwear before heading out. When the weather is hot out, wearing Swimwear or carrying a parasol can keep your Sim cool. If the conditions become too unbearable, sending your Sim inside will quickly bring their body temperature back to normal.

Being frozen is a very dangerous state for a Sim to be in! If not addressed in a timely manner, the Sim can die. While frozen, try asking other Sims to lend a thawing hand.

Being out in the sun for too long can cause sunburn, or worse, spontaneous combustion! When you’re on fire, ask the nearest Sim for help or call a firefighter on the phone to put you out.

Greeting Cards – Holiday

During every festival, you can take pictures of your Sim’s family and friends! Check the photo booth and take pictures by yourself or with up to 7 other Sims. Once taken, each Sim will get a greeting card in their personal inventories. These pictures can be placed on a counter or hung on the wall.

The backdrop changes every season, so bes ure to check back during the fall, winter, spring, and summer festivals for a brand new picture! You can also select the greeting card from the Sim’s inventory and share them with friends online. Be sure to have a registered account at www.thesims3.com to share.
