De Sims 4 Uit Eten verschijnt over 11 dagen en de SimGuru’s laten op twitter al vele leuke feitjes weten over dit nieuwe pakket. SimGuruNinja laat de nieuwe mogelijkheid zien om een zelfgemaakte foto te delen op Simstagram. Verder werd bekend dat koks helaas niet groenten en fruit uit de inventaris of koelkast gebruiken, maar als je genoeg voordeelpunten hebt verzameld kan je wel een restaurantvoordeel kopen waarmee je de kwaliteit van de gebruikte ingrediënten kan bepalen.

En SimGuruMegs laat weten dat je niet De Sims 4 Aan het Werk hoeft te hebben om restaurants te runnen. Ook kan je restaurants vanuit huis runnen waardoor je niet altijd aanwezig hoeft te zijn in het restaurant om omzet te kunnen draaien. Als je De Sims 4 Aan het Werk hebt dan kan je Sim tegelijk een winkel en restaurant runnen, alleen dan wel op aparte kavels. Er zit ook een nectarrek in Uit Eten, maar het is momenteel onbekend of dit alleen een decoratie is of ook echt bruikbaar zal zijn. De terrasverwarmers (buitenhaarden) zijn wel functioneel: je Sims kunnen zich hieraan opwarmen. De nieuwe gerechten zijn niet alleen te maken in een restaurant, maar je Sims kunnen ze ook thuis maken als hun kookvaardigheid goed genoeg is.

Je kan ook allerlei gerechten en snacks uit andere pakketten toevoegen aan het menu in je restaurants, zoals bijvoorbeeld ijs en popcorn. Ook kan je niet alleen de outfits van je personeel uit kiezen, maar je kan ook een dresscode bepalen voor je gasten.

Restaurants
SimGuruMegs: The chefs won’t use harvestables in the fridge, but there’s a perk that lets you to set the quality of ingredients that are used.

Q: Can we do a birthday party in restaurant ?
SimGuruNinja: Yep! Dates too.

SimGuruNinja: You can own both retail lots & restaurants.

Q: Is the food critic an NPC or will it be a townie?
SimGuruNinja: They’re NPCs.

Q: I dont suppose sims can run a restaurant from home?Im guessing it works like the retail system,but I figured Id ask anyway.
SimGuruNinja: Yes they can! You can open your restaurant for business even when you’re not there!

Q: Not sure if it’s already been asked or not, but will picnic tables function as a place for Sims to sit and eat in Dine Out? 🙂
SimGuruNinja: They sure will.

SimGuruHouts: You can set how customers dress when they arrive to dine at your restaurant. Formal? Casual? Swimwear?!

SimGuruHouts: You can dress employees almost however you want (not nude). Customer outfits are based on the standard outfit categories.

Q: Can we build NPC-run restaurants and set the menu so our sims can go there as costumers?
SimGuruHouts: Yep! You can customize your NPC restaurants in most of the same ways as your owned ones.

Q: can we have restaurants and retail store on same lot?
SimGuruHouts: Restaurants and Retail stores are separate venue types, so they need to be on separate lots.

SimGuruEmory: You can dine at a restaurant without owning / managing it. Kids & Teens can eat there too!

Q: What is the max number of employees we can hire for one restaurant? Really curious!
SimGuruEmory: *counts on fingers*…one, two, three, four, five, six!

SimGuruEmory: Sims in the same dining party can have different ratings! Better pay attention to every customer

Gerechten en menu
Q: so does that mean our Sims can create those masterpieces at home or is it like pub food?
SimGuruNinja: You can make it at home; provided you’ve learned how to cook it. 😉

SimGuruNinja: You can can add slices of pizza to the menu.

Q: And what about ice cream and pop corn, or SP1 drinks?
SimGuruNinja: What about yes, yes, and yes! 🙂

SimGuruEmory: The drinks from Spa Day are available in the menus, but the foods aren’t. Gotta level up your wellness skill to make them!

Q: Can I use recipe’s from other Packs in my restaurant?
SimGuruNinja: You sure can.

SimGuruEmory: Yes, you can totally open a vegetarian restaurant in Dine Out!

Gameplay
Q: Are the pictures our Sims take of their meals, being added to our inventories or are these concept drawings of them?
SimGuruNinja: They’re added to your inventory so you can collect and decorate with them.

Q: just out of interest, why is there a maximum of 10 mannequins on a lot and could you increase that in a future update?
SimGuruNinja: Mannequins count towards the maximum sim count per lot. We limited their placement to ensure that real Sims can still spawn.

SimGuruHouts: When you share your restaurant to the Gallery, your staff outfits, customer dress code, and customized menu are all shared too!

SimGuruNinja: Yup – they are functional. You can warm up next to them.

SimGuruEmory: Only one size of aquarium in this pack, but it’s really awesome looking!
